This is a music video for the single "What I came here for" by Andrew Stone of Gospel Connection Records <www.gospelconnectionrecords.com>.

Andrew is a Christian RnB/gospel singer who asked me to put together a music video for his album's first single. He produced it and I directed and edited.

I'd particularly like feedback on the editing and grading, although all comments are appreciated!

This was not my kind of music in the least, as soon as rap or RB come on I usually change the station haha. On the video itself however I disagree with some comments before me in that I dont feel the girl was out of place because it brings in something else outside just the artists...there is nothing more boring then a music video that just watches the artists sing. My first thought on seeing the girl was "oh, he's appealing to a youth crowd, he's making Christian music cool to little kids" which is great...the problem is that that kind of appeal would target elementary school kids.... Im talking kids that get into Spice Girls and Brittany Spears...now kids that young dont get into that music because of its sex appeal because they dont really have a full grasp of what that even means, they get into it because its cool so I dont think you need to worry about whether or not her sexiness overides the Christian message my concern would be will this appeal to anyone outside of elementary school? Im afraid it wont.... there seams to be little content to the video other then artists singing, some cool transitions and a girl dancing....nothing wrong...just not enough I dont think. Try finding something odd and out of the ordinary to place in your video...man eating live chicken haha I dont know...something.

I received some good news today -- the music video will be shown on national TV here in Australia, on a music show called Rage. It's airing in the brilliant primetime slot of... 5:30 AM, Sat morning. Nonetheless, Andrew and I are quite chuffed since it's sandwiched in between artists like Eminem, Dem Franchize Boyz, Franz Ferdinand, and the Foo Fighters. Here's the playlist. Special thanks to Arktic and JoeyLawrence: I tinkered a bit with both the levels and some layer blending. Arktic, I also put in some fake vignetting on a couple of clips. I'll try and get the new version online sometime, in case you want to see the difference. Here are some comparison frames, though not corrected for 16:9.
